Closet organizing methods for those who can’t bring themselves to get rid of things

When you don’t tidy up the closet because you can’t bring yourself to get rid of things, don’t you find that your closet is full of things that you don’t wear?
It is a terrible waste to get rid of things that you might still wear, but please consider the fact that it is also a waste to keep clothes that you want to wear but can’t because they are lost in closet junk.

At this point, reconsider organizing storage to revive clothes that you don’t wear, rather than getting rid of them.

[1] Sort clothes into those that you wear and those that you don’t wear
[2] Donate the clothes that you don’t wear rather than getting rid of them, in order to contribute to society
[3] Find ways to make use of the clothes that you don’t wear

[1] Sort clothes into those that you wear and those that you don’t wear

This is the way to sort and organize when you have clothes that you can’t get rid of because you think it “would be a waste to get rid of these clothes because I still might wear them.”
When you sort clothes by season, type, application, color, pattern, and the like, you find that even though you may have several garments you actually don’t wear among those of the same application, color, or design.
You might have four off-white short-sleeve cut-and-sewn tops to wear to work, for example, but you hardly ever wear one of them, because it doesn’t flatter your figure, or it isn’t the kind of design that you like.

In these cases, don’t stuff things that you don’t wear into your closet, and instead, put the things that you don’t wear, that aren’t flattering, or that you don’t care for into a separate storage facility. If you have clothes to switch in for the ones you don’t wear, put the latter in a temporary storage unit so that you can consider getting rid of them later.
In addition, when you buy new clothes, sort out the ones you have with the same application but that don’t look good on you, or that you don’t care for, so that you can put them in a temporary storage unit as well.
If you don’t wear the clothes that you put in the temporary storage unit for two seasons, you can see that you don’t actually need them, and then it is easier to get rid of them.

When it is difficult to sort for storage, even marking hangers with a sticker that says "don't wear" is a first step toward organizing, so try to come up with a way to sort the things in your closet.

When you sort your clothes into those that you want to wear and those that you don’t and store them as described above, it becomes easy to get the clothes that you like and coordinate your fashions, so you can freely and easily enjoy being fashionable with just the clothes that you prefer.

It is important to avoid keeping the clothes that your sort out in hot and humid places in order to avoid the mold and deterioration that could result from storing them in such places. If there are no appropriate places in your home, it would be a good idea to keep them in a trunk room storage space that is equipped with air conditioning.

One of the reasons we wear clothes is to create a flattering appearance, so it would most certainly be a waste of your efforts if you were to go out of your way to wear clothes that are not flattering. Be sure to wear only clothes that are flattering, and clothes that you like.
