2. Product consistency and control
We own and develop whole properties, whereas most of our competitors lease a portion of a building or only manage the location on behalf of a third-party owner. In the three cases where we lease space, we are very discriminating to ensure we can offer the same experience as our owned properties. The result is that we control our product and offer our customers a consistent, high-quality product at all of our locations; our customers know what they're getting!
3. Earthquake and building code compliant
All properties that we’ve purchased are compliant with building code by way of their construction after 1981, or by way of seismic evaluation and reinforcement where necessary. Also, without exception, all of our locations are compliant with rental-storage construction and fire code. Our compliance with earthquake, construction and fire code is evidence of our commitment to delivering a safe and secure product and our obligation to society.
